Children who cannot read at the third-grade level are four times less likely to graduate from high school. The situation is even more dire for children who are low-income and children of color, as those who are unable to read at the third-grade level are thirteen times less likely to graduate high school with their peers.
The Centennial School District, Reynolds School District, David Douglas School District, and Portland Public Schools all partner with Reading Results to improve reading proficiency for children who are low-income and children of color. See the full list of our school partners here.
We believe that every child, regardless of race/ethnicity or socioeconomic status, deserves a fair chance at a bright future.
